Civil society organisations make recommendations for an ambitious rule of law report

The European Commission’s annual review of the status of the rule of law across all 27 EU Member States is an important initiative for strengthening the Union’s foundational values: respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and human rights. As the European Union’s rule of law reporting cycle has entered its third edition, SAR Europe and 24 other civil society networks and organisations from across the EU, have come together to put forward EU-wide and country-specific recommendations to strengthen the review process.
