SAR Ireland webinar on Gender and Academic Freedom

Monday, March 8, 2021 – 12:30 to 14:00

On March 8th, to mark International Women’s Day, SAR Ireland, in collaboration with Centre for Resistance Studies, Trinity College Dublin and the Irish Centre for Human Rights, NUI Galway, will host a webinar on Gender and Academic Freedom. There will be three key note speakers;

  1. Andrea Pető, Professor in the Department of Gender Studies at Central European University, Vienna, Austria and a Doctor of Science of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
  2. Elżbieta Korolczuk, sociologist, working at Södertörn University in Stockholm and American Studies Center, Warsaw University
  3. Seda Altuğ, a lecturer at the Atatürk Institute for Modern Turkish History at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul.

Followed by a Q&A session faciliated by Roja Fazaeli, Lecturer in Islamic Civilizations, Department of Near and Middle Eastern Studies, Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland
