SAR Europe works to insert data and references to widespread and serious attacks on scholars and academic freedom in particular countries into the EU and CoE’s official records. In particular, SAR Europe is working to bring greater attention to attacks on academic freedom and scholars in Hungary, Poland, Turkey, Belarus, Afghanistan, Egypt and Iran. Some examples of SAR Europe’s activities in this area are provided below.
